Over 10 days you will be guided through a historic journey like no other you have experienced. You will awe at the beauty of the world’s most famous mausoleum- the Taj Mahal, marvel at the exquisitely marble-carved Jain Temples at Ranakpur, savour the serenity of Gandhi’s memorial and the regal splendour of the City Palaces in Jaipur and Udaipur.

DAY 1: DUBLIN - LONDON - DELHI
Arrive Delhi
Meet by local representative on arrival and transfer to hotel in New Delhi

Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities

DAY 2: DELHI
Delhi - the capital of India is a fascinating city with complexities and contradictions, beauty and dynamism where the past co-exists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture and monuments. Delhi is not only the present metropolis of India but also a necropolis. Because of its location, being on the banks of river Yamuna, many cities have risen and fallen over the last five millenniums.

Morning: After breakfast, visit Birla House - where Mahatma Gandhi the ‘Father of the Nation’ lived until his assassination. It now houses many personal memorabilia & photographs from the life of Gandhiji. Also visit Raj Ghat – Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial and a scenic drive past the historic Red Fort.

Afternoon: After Old Delhi’s sightseeing visit the beautiful Humayuns Tomb from the Mughal era and predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. Continue on to the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Sir Edward Lutyens, including the Parliament House, India Gate & Presidential Palace – Rashtrapati Bhawan.

DAY 3: DELHI - AGRA
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and drive by private car and driver to Agra (204 Kms/5 Hrs).

Agra - famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire. Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who have inherited their great craft skills from their ancestors. The city is also famous for its carpets & gold thread embroidery

1300hrs: Arrive and check into hotel.

1530hrs: Transfer to Red Fort - built by three generations of Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD, which is a masterpiece of design and construction. It housed both the residential Palaces of the Royal family and the military quarters.

1630hrs: Visit the Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal - the inimitable poem in white marble, built over a period of 22 years by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.

Visit a marble-in-lay factory to see the “Pietra Dura” work made famous by the Taj Mahal.

Early evening: Transfer to hotel for dinner (direct payment) and overnight stay

DAY 4: AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR
Morning: After breakfast, check out and drive to Fatehpur Sikri (40 Kms)

Fatehpur Sikri - this exquisite city built by Akbar the Great in 1569, in red sandstone, with its forts, palaces and mosques was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons.

After visit continue drive to Jaipur (195 Km) stopping en- route at a midway hotel for lunch/snacks (direct payment)

Afternoon: Arrive Jaipur and check into the hotel.

DAY 5: JAIPUR
Morning: After breakfast, visit Amber Fort - the capital of the erstwhile state of Jaipur until 1728AD. Perched on a hill, it has hall of public & private audience, a Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) and various marble palaces which are fine examples of ancient Rajput architecture. Ride an elephant to ascend the hill on which the fort is situated.

Afternoon: Visit City Palace – the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles which now houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury of the Also visit the ancient Observatory – Jantar Mantar.

Late afternoon: Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling bazaars. Free time for souvenir shopping. Jaipur is renowned for textile block printing, blue pottery, carpet weaving, semi-precious stones & local crafts.

DAY 6: JAIPUR - UDAIPUR
Early morning: Wake up call
Check-out & transfer to Jaipur airport

Report at Jaipur airport check-in counter

Depart by Jet Airways flight for Udaipur

Arrive Udaipur - transfer to hotel

Rest of the day at leisure

Dinner (direct payment) and overnight at hotel

DAY 7: UDAIPUR
Morning: After breakfast, visit the magnificent City Palace - an assemblage of not one but four separate palaces covering some four acres of area & exceeding all other palaces for colossal grandeur.

Afternoon: Enjoy a romantic Boat Cruise on Lake Pichola visiting the Jagmandir Island Palace - in the middle of lake. It commands a magnificent view of the City Palace, Lake Palace and Sajjangarh Fort, on its own island, and it is where Prince Khurram was given refuge in the 17th century.

Late afternoon: Return to hotel

DAY 8: UDAIPUR
Morning: After breakfast, visit RANAKPUR ‑ the magnificent 15th century Jain temples situated in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli Hills. Though over 500 years old, the temples are superbly preserved. The most distinctive features are the 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, of which no two are exactly alike. Every conceivable surface is carved and every corner and angle is engraved with Jain images.

Lunch stop at (direct payment)

Afternoon: Return to the hotel.
Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities

DAY 9: UDAIPUR - DELHI
Wake-up call
After a cup of tea/coffee at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Udaipur airport

Depart by Jet Airways flight to Delhi

Met on arrival in Delhi and transfer to hotel

Afternoon: At leisure for last minute shopping

Dinner (direct payment) and overnight at the hotel

DAY 10: FLY DELHI - DUBLIN
After breakfast, transfer by car to Delhi airport for return flights
