PALACE ON WHEELS
India’s famous train ‘The Palace on Wheels’ recreates the regal splendour once solely enjoyed by the Maharajas. From the moment you are greeted by the traditionally clad ‘Khidmatgars’ (attendants), you are attributed the same service standard and courtesies of visiting VIPs. Passengers are formally greeted at all stations along the route. Each of the train’s 14 saloon cars have four sleeping compartments complete with ensuite facilities and small lounge. The two restaurant cars serve both Indian specialities and international cuisine. In keeping with the royal theme, all sightseeing and meals take place in true regal settings. |
